The best place to store jewelry is in an individual pouch, in the original VINELLI box or in a separate compartment of a jewelry box. Chains should be fastened, wrapped and laid flat to prevent them from knotting.

 Professional cleanings are recommended as often as once a year. We encourage you to bring your VINELLI jewelry back to us for professional servicing. Our staff knows what to do and is experienced in all aspects of jewelry care: cleaning silver, gemstones, restringing pearls and other stones, repairing clasps and earring backs.

If cleaning occurs at home, soak your jewelry regularly for a few minutes in lukewarm soapy water (use neutral pH soap). Gently clean using a very soft toothbrush. Rinse well in clean lukewarm water. Wipe dry using a soft cloth or chamois.  Especially for your silver jewelry creation, dry baking soda can be rubbed softly with your hand into the jewelry piece and then by using clean water all residues will be cleaned and voila, shining as the first day it was bought.

If pearls are used often we suggest to be restrung once a year.  Pearls should not be sprayed with perfume.  They should be cleaned with a damp cloth and store separately in its own pouch. Your pearls are affected by light, heat and contact with soap or other detergents as well.

Always protect stones from potential impacts. Even diamonds, the hardest of stones, can break or chip if subject to recurring knocks and shocks.

The ” Fundacion Pro-Ayuda of Puerto Rico” is a nonprofit institution dedicated to working for the benefit of less fortunate children and youth of our country. Founded in 1989 by a group of women concerned about the living conditions and social and economic situations that affect this sector of scarce resources. 

Every year, these special women organize a Fair Christmas Bazaar at the Marriott Hotel in San Juan, PR.  This year, the long-awaited Fair Christmas Bazaar 2009 was held the night of 11& 12 of November with the slogan: Open your heart … Make a difference in a child’s Christmas…

Those who attended the bazaar were granted the opportunity to contribute with these children and we can proudly says we were there for a third consecutive year having fun and most of all learning from these women how important is to give back. After all, we began this company with the intention of using our jewelry to help others. We have donated the profits from many of our jewelry lines to various non-profits and will continue to do so at our discretion. We encourage others to do what they can to help in their own communities and abroad.  Whether it is by volunteering time, talents, supplies or funds every little bit of help one can provide to those in need is appreciated.
